MAXI RODRIGUEZ is a Liverpool player after finally completing his move to Anfield this evening.
The Argentine midfielder's transfer from Atletico Madrid twice went on ice as the Arctic conditions stopped him flying into Merseyside.
But the midfielder, 29, eventually arrived and passed a medical before signing a 3½-year deal.
Rodriguez, who was out of contract at Atletico in the summer, arrives on a free after falling out of favour at Madrid.
Kop boss Rafa Benitez admitted: "We were looking for players with character and a good mentality and this is someone who's played for Argentina and Atletico.
"He can play in three positions - on the right, left or as a second striker - and has a very positive mentality.
"He's also comfortable on the ball, can pass and keep possession, good at getting into the box and a good finisher.
"I know he was not doing as well as he did in the past at Atletico but he is doing really well with Argentina and wants to impress for the World Cup."
